So. I think I may have a problem. Ever since I've seen these bad boys, it triggers a shopping binge like no other since they no longer exist. Is there such a thing as heel-hab?
I'm pretty sure they are the most perfect shoes ever.
What can I say? Go big or go home.
Also. If anyone ever finds me a pair in an 8, 8.5, or 9. I will be your best friend.

in my opinion it was a nice little nod to a certain extraordinary blogger out there..
Once the ol' bangs grow out I'll definitely be trying this hair style..as well as these..
and who can forget the top knots from Jenni Kayne last year?
P. S. Check out the amazing little gift I received from my friend, Jennifer:
I snagged the middle finger..*insert childish laughter here*
You can read the interview I did with Jennifer, here.

The events of this past week have seriously put a damper on my blogging habits, but I say, be gone scheduling conflicts, be gone! Everything worked out for the best and I have some exciting news that I will share with you guys soon! It may have quieted down, but it's really only the calm before the storm. This week I'm working on a spring ad campaign photo shoot so there's a large chance, they'll be more of me dressing like this:
Rugby Dress
American Apparel Leggings
Frye Boots (Deceptively comfortable)
Don't forget, mussed hair courtesy of oversleeping!
* I'm very close to abandoning the NYFW post. I will try my best to update it today but there is just so much fashion and so little me!

With the Fashion Week season in full swing and Fashion Pulse Daily live blogging from the IFB conference it can be easy to forget that there are other things going on in the world, where real women are shopping and dressing for real occasions. There were actually surprisingly few Fashion Week oriented posts submitted this week. Possibly the Fashion Week attendees are still too busy to partake in Links á la Mode, but what I did find was a lot of posts focused on fashion, style and image in the real world. A Typical Atypical calls for a low fashion revolution and Idiosyncratic Style urges you to bring out your cocktail frocks for every day. Meanwhile, in the body image arena Intrinsically Florrie learns to love her specs, Sugar & Spice discusses tanning and Mariels Castle weighs in (see what I did there?) on the body size debate. It would be impossible to leave this weeks links without mentioning the untimely and incredibly sad death of Alexander McQueen. There were posts submitted on this issue but I made the decision not to include them, not because they were bad, but because I felt that if I included one persons post I would need to include them all. There has been so much personal reflection on the life and designs of this amazing man in the fashion blogging world that to choose a small selection seemed impossible. If you would like to read these posts then, as ever, the full list of submissions is available in the forums.

So Guys-
It's already been a month of blogging and quite a bit has changed for me. MOST of it surrounding the blog but some other things as well. It's encouraged me to pursue a career in the field that I heart so, and basically it's just been a whole bunch of fun to write for an audience. Thank you all so much for the support and grand comments, I couldn't do it without you! Literally. What would be the point of writing if no one read it? I hope you continue to read and like my posts as much as you have so far!
Sincerely,
Steph

The snow may be SLOWLY melting away, but I'm still looking at photos of the first fall. I can't help but feel like some of the snow-covered trees remind me of coral…If you think about it, we are all UNDER water right now, so not that large of a reach.
So after searching various hints of coral and other glorious under water beings, check out the beautiful photos I found that are bound to inspire some Proenza-like collections.
And of course you couldn't forget these sea-worthy pieces.
P.S. I just got back from the first free night I've had in months and I had so much fun! A friend of mine was performing at a local coffee shop and I had no idea how talented he was. Check out Canned Food For Cannibals on his Facebook Fan Page here.

Gather your love, or many loves if you are a Lothario of sorts, because Valentine's Day is approaching. While I will more than likely be packing and preparing for my trip to New York for the IFB Evolving Influence Conference the next day, I hope you have something a little more romantic planned. Below I've posted a few photos for inspiration.
